FVLC - Formação Variável de Laptops do CITAR (CITAR’s Variable Laptop Formation) is a group of researchers from CITAR dedicated to the composition, improvisation and performance of electroacoustic and laptop music (including visuals). It started in 2008 with the first group of PhD students from the doctoral program of Science and Technology of the Arts in the UCP – Porto.

I've been an active member since the beginning of the project in 2008. I usual produce costume made software in Max/MSP, Pure Data and Processing for each performance. Bellow you can find some information about some performances I participated.

2013 / Xmas Concert
The 6th concert from FVLC took place at the auditorium Ilídio Pinho in UCP – Porto on the 17th of December 2013 and was followed by a guitar performance by the participants on the workshop with Carlos Alberto Lopes (Albrecht Loops).  For this concert I used a fish driven musical instrument that reacted to the movement of a fish in a fish tank. I used two computers, one for the computer vision task and another for generating the audio. Since I was participating remotely from Macau, I sent a live feed of audio and video over the network using Skype.

I developed a simple Max/MSP patch controlled with Korg Nano Control.
